2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat

Several prototypes of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat driven by members of the SRT development team were grabbed on camera by our spy photographers.

Rumors of a supercharged HEMI V8 6.2-liter engine codenamed "Hellcat" emerged in May and have been confirmed today through these prototypes. The report said the powerful engine would make its debut on the next-gen Challenger which should be out for the 2015 model year once production starts mid-2014.

These prototypes which are probably test mules of the next-gen model were hiding what seems to be a lower and larger air intake indicating that more air will be going through the front fascia, while at the back of the car we notice a different exhaust setup. All these changes should allow the HEMI V8 to churn as much as 640 bhp (477 kW), making the Challenger Hellcat a worthy adversary for the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and SRT Viper.

2013 Nissan Terrano

Nissan has announced plans to launch the 2013 Terrano on August 20 at an event organized in India. Essentially a rebadged version of the Dacia/Renault Duster, the Terrano revival will come with a slightly more premium exterior design and several interior cabin modifications like rectangular air vents.

These tweaks will have a downside as Nissan's version of the budget off-roader will be slightly more expensive than the other two cars. The 2013 Nissan Terrano will be manufactured at a Renault-Nissan factory located in Oragadam, Chennai, India.

At this facility they are currently building the local-market Renault Duster and Dacia Duster for other markets like UK and Ireland. The car is expected to effectively go on sale in November with the same engine lineup as the Duster.
